My earnest prayer for you, your families, and your ministries is that God continue to Bless and keep you. I have been privileged to serve as a local pastor for over 53 years, and as jurisdictional bishop of the Historic First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan (Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction), since August, 1975. I have served the national church for over 34 years. Throughout my entire tenure of service to our church, at all levels, I have endeavored to be an example of consistent loyalty, dependability, and excellence.
For the past twenty-three years of service to the National Church, my focus has been to preserve and protect the purity of our holiness faith. I remain committed to that calling, upholding it as the single greatest responsibility of my service to you and to the church.
The basis of my mission as a servant of the national church has been and continues to be;
- Support for YOU, the pastors and members of the Local Church, i.e. (Church extension for new construction). Pension and insurance programs for pastors and widows.
- Outreach, Local, State, National and World (Television and Publications).
- Continuing to refine the Education and Training systems for the National Church.
- Continuing to develop state of the art financial processes for the National Church.
Much has been accomplished, but much remains to be done. The growth and sustained viability of the Church of God in Christ in every village, hamlet, city, state and country throughout the world rests in you, the Local Pastors and the Local Churches. My mission as a member of the Presidium is to aid you in carrying out this great calling.
In His Service,
Bishop P.A. Brooks
